TVA Primary Drama News
Mme. Lee-Daigle and Mlle. Thibert/Mme. Bernard and M. Frezell are teaching Drama and the Arts together in the music room and in the students' classrooms. Throughout the fall, the students have engaged in a variety of activities designed to jump start their imaginations and increase their ability to cooperate with one another during dramatic play. We have been focusing on building the student's concentration and giving them many opportunities to role play different characters and environments. The students have been creating shadow puppets and are practicing speaking "in role" in French. They are learning to project their voice, as well as to speak clearly and to enunciate. They are beginning to create some short dramatic scenes in groups with their shadow puppets. We will continue to study role play and voice with various forms of puppetry and improvisation activities.
Dance is assessed in Term 2 for all classes.
