TVA Early Years Drama News
Mme. Lee-Daigle and Mlle. Thibert/Mme. Bernard and M. Frezell are teaching Drama and the Arts together in the music room and in the student's classrooms. Throughout the fall, students have been using their imaginations to role play different characters. They became wild animals during a jungle safari and gave life to a variety of shadow puppets! They are learning how to use their bodies and voices (high/low, fast/slow, loud/soft) to portray different characters. We will continue the study of role play with different forms of puppetry and tableau (frozen poses). Students will begin interacting with one another as well as imagining themselves in different environments to deepen their understanding of "characters" and "settings".
