Monologues
In theatre, a monologue is presented by a single character, most often to express their mental thoughts aloud, though sometimes also to directly address another character or the audience. Monologues are common across the range of dramatic media such as plays and films as well as in non-dramatic media such as poetry. Grade 5 to 8 students have chosen a monologue and are working on their facial expressions, body language and voice for their perfomances. Their monologues must be memorized to deliver the most convincing performance. You can find a file containing all monologues below.

TVA presents North Pole Musical
On Wednesday December 11th and Thursday December 12th periods 5+6 for school performances.
After school performance on Thursday December 12th at 7pm.
Cast includes actors in Grade 6 and 8 as well as a choir of Grade 2s and 4s.

Duane Gibson aka D.O. is a Guinness World Record setting rapper and University graduate that has been inspiring hundreds of thousands of youth around the world since 2001.
On Monday, November 4th, D.O. will be at Tecumseh Vista Academy to spread his anti-bullying message: "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down."

WCCA Drama and Dance presents "In The Heights"
On Thursday, November 7th, TVA's Grade 7s and 8s will be traveling to Walkerville to see a performance of the Broadway Musical, "In The Heights."
As part of the Drama and Dance program, students will be completing a critique of the performance. The theatrical review assignment can be found below and should be done after viewing the performance while it is still fresh in their minds. The assignment needs to be handed in at the beginning of the following drama class in the cycle.

F7F due Friday, Nov. 15th F7/8C due Monday, Nov. 11th F8G due Tuesday, Nov. 12th
8G due Thursday. Nov. 21st 7/8S due Wed. Nov. 20th
